There are two challengers running against incumbent Kenneth O’Brian for Mayor in Fayette. Challenging O’Brian are Greg Stidham and Brian Cummiskey during today’s municipal election.
There also is a race for the seat as South Ward Alderperson. Running for that spot are Hope Smith and Paden Squires.
In New Franklin, Todd Baslee and Mike McGee are running for a seat on the city council.
In other races in Howard County, Bryan Scheiderer, Pam Lockard and Terry Lea Hulett are running for two seats on the Salisbury R-4 School Board; Mindee Huddleston, Chad Crawford and Virgil Earl Leezer Jr. for two seats on the Higbee School Board; Josh Stephenson, Collin McBride and Tina Weber for two seats on the Harrisburg R-8 School Board; and John Bailey, Darren Harris, Matt Maupin and Leslie Anson for two seats on the New Franklin School Board.
The Fayette School District is asking voters to approve a $1 million no-tax-increase bond issue; and the Harrisburg School District is asking for approval of a $2.25 million no-tax-increase bond issue.
