Two counts of a felony charge have been filed against a Sedalia woman after authorities allegedly found her to be in possession of narcotics on Thursday, April 5.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were called to the scene in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard to investigate the report of two persons who were going in and out of consciousness while sitting in a parked vehicle. Due to the detection of a narcotic odor, and with the help of a K-9, authorities reportedly found heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia reportedly belonging to one of the vehicle’s occupants.
Arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail was 31-year-old Lillian Gamblin, who reportedly gave authorities another person’s name when she was first questioned.
Online court documents say Gamblin has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except for 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and two misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Gamblin’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
