A traffic stop on I-70 and subsequent probable-cause search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered multiple baggies of marijuana on Thursday, April 4, and two residents of the state of California have been charged with a drug-related felony in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, due to the Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper detecting the odor of marijuana, he conducted the search, which reportedly revealed a suitcase containing 10 bags of marijuana, with an approximate total weight of 10 pounds. Each of the vehicle’s occupants reportedly denied knowledge of the suitcase’s contents.
According to online court documents, warrants have been issued, and Daniel Schneider, of El Camino, and Kenneth Mosley II, of Olivehurst, each has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana. Bond for each has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.
The initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
