Fire fighters from multiple stations in Johnson County responded to put out a structure fire on Saturday.
According to a post on the Johnson County Fire Protection District’s Facebook page, at 4:12 p.m., stations 1, 4 and 10 were toned out to the blaze in the 100 block of SE 431 road.
The fire was located and contained in a basement bedroom. Other portions of the basement were damaged by heat; and the entire residence sustained smoke damage.
Crews remained on the scene for approximately two hours, and it was determined the fire was accidental.
JCFPD was assisted at the scene by the Johnson County Ambulance District, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department.
