A warrant has been issued, and a Lexington resident has been charged with felonies after a traffic stop on Saturday, April 7, in Camden in Ray County.
According to a probable-cause statement, due to the police officer detecting the strong odor of marijuana, a probable-cause search of the vehicle was conducted, and the officer allegedly uncovered two burnt ends of hand-rolled cigars containing a green leafy substance in the ashtray and two plastic baggies containing a green leafy substance under a seat occupied by an 11-month-old child. The substances reportedly field tested to be positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Each baggie of marijuana reportedly weighed approximately 60 grams.
According to online court documents, 19-year-old Seth David Webb has been charged with Class D Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Creating a Substantial Risk in the First Degree- First Offense- No Sexual Conduct; as well as a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash only, with special unspecified conditions.
Webb’s initial hearing at Ray County Circuit Court is pending.
