Three area residents sustained injuries in a three-vehicle traffic crash in Johnson County on Tuesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Luke Huskey, of Marshall, reportedly ran into the back of another northbound vehicle, driven by 52-year-old Teresa Cannon, of Warrensburg, which was stopped at an intersection. The Cannon vehicle reportedly was pushed into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by 45-year-old Patrick Harmon, of Monroe City. Harmon’s vehicle reportedly traveled off the roadway trying to avoid Cannon’s vehicle and struck an embankment.
Huskey, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, Cannon and 24-year-old Devorius Harris, of Knob Noster– a passenger in Harmon’s vehicle, each suffered moderate injuries. They were transported by ambulances to area hospitals for treatment. Harmon reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened at about 5:50 p.m. on Missouri Highway 13 at Route H.
