Saline County Prosecuting Attorney Don Stouffer was at the meeting of the county commission on Tuesday, April 10, and sang the praises of Breann Moenkhoff who works in his office, taking care of child-support enforcement.
Stouffer said his office was notified in March the budget for the service would remain the same. He said the funds are more than enough to pay Moenkhoff’s salary, but he was hoping there would be extra funds because he thinks this is one of the most efficient offices in the state.
Stouffer said the service needs to remain available for area residents.
Stouffer says he doesn’t know how long he will be able to keep the service here. He says at some point, the state might come in and say all of this will have to be done at a regional office. But he wants to keep it as long as possible because it’s a good service.
Stouffer also said the Victims’ Rights Breakfast, which begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 13, will be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church at 710 East Yerby Street in Marshall.
