An Otterville man, who reportedly is on probation for drug crimes and burglary, has been charged with a felony in Pettis County for allegedly having a firearm in a vehicle after a traffic stop on February 2, 2018.
According to a probable-cause statement, reportedly during a consented search of the vehicle, authorities found a bag containing a loaded .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol inside. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle reportedly denied any knowledge there was a weapon in the vehicle.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been requested, and the driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Justin Herbert Schoen has been charged with a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm– a felon in possession of a firearm. Bond has not yet been set.
Schoen’s initial appearance at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
