A Lincoln man accused of the murder of an area woman earlier this year, is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, April 16.
According to a post on the Sedalia Police Department’s Facebook page, on January 21, 28-year-old Justin K. Lewis turned himself into authorities and was taken into custody without incident for allegedly stabbing to death 33-year-old Heather McClellan, of Sedalia.
Online court documents say Lewis has been charged with a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder, an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Used of a Weapon.
Lewis waved his formal arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty on February 20. March 16’s hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at Pettis County Circuit Court.
