A Knob Noster resident has been charged with two drug-related felonies for signing for and picking up a package that allegedly contained a controlled substance at a post office in Pettis County on April 3.
According to a probable-cause statement, Homeland Security intercepted a package on March 26. Inside the envelope, a specialist tested the brown, crushed rocky substance to be positive for MDMA Hydrochloride, a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance.
Brendan Beasley reportedly picked up the package at the post office in La Monte and later was arrested by authorities who were surveilling the location. A NARTEC test reportedly confirmed the substance to be methamphetamine. The total weight was more than 30 grams.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued, and Beasley has been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree- Over the Statutory Amount; and a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana. Bond has been set at $75,000 cash or surety.
Beasley’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
