A Lincoln teenager was injured in a traffic accident involving wildlife in Benton County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a southbound vehicle, 17-year-old Logan Brennan, reportedly swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, returned to the roadway, traveled off the roadway again and through a fence, struck a tree and came to a rest in a field.
Brennan reportedly was transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Health Center in Warsaw for treatment of moderate injures.
The accident happened just after 8 a.m. on Davis Road, just north of Fordney Road.
