Several area students have been named as state vice president during the FFA convention in Columbia on Friday, April 20.
According to news releases, four area students each were named as vice president: Ryan Siegal, of Otterville; Allie Lock, of Carrollton; Hannah Viets, of Sweet Springs; and Dillion Reinitz, of Brunswick.
The students are involved in many FFA activities including a supervised agriculture experience programs.
Siegel’s program consists of milking Holstein cattle and marketing his milk to a local dairy cooperative; Lock is in agriscience, beef cattle and agricultural communications; Viets raises pigs and goats to show at the local, state and national levels; and Reinitz’s program consists of a crossbred cattle herd he raises to sell for market. The FFA students each plan on attending college to receive a degree in agriculture after they graduate from high school.
