A Coffeyville, Kansas, resident has been charged with two counts of a felony for allegedly stealing items from a museum in Pettis County and selling some of them to antique dealers.
According to a probable-cause statement, 38-year-old Terry Cockrell is alleged to have taken items– including items from the Civil War and World War II eras– from the Pettis County Museum in Sedalia. The items have been estimated to be worth nearly $34,000.
According to online documents, a warrant has been requested and Cockrell has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More.
Cockrell’s initial appearance at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
