Three area residents have been recognized at a Future Farmers of America event.
According to news releases, Jason Moore, of Marshall, Kari Mergen, of Green Ridge, and Alex Haun, of Holden, each has received an honorary state FFA degree.
Moore is a building manager, Mergen is Marketing Director and Haun is the assistant superintendent of the FFA building at the Missouri State Fair.
Moore reportedly oversees maintenance and daily operations of the 400-acre facility and facilitates all capital-improvement requests for the fair commission and oversees improvement projects on the fairgrounds.
Mergen reportedly works with FFA members and advisors to showcase their achievements each year.
And Haun reportedly is a farmer and current student who previously was a Missouri State FFA officer.
The 90th Missouri FFA Convention continues through Friday, April 20, in Columbia.
