The Fayette R-3 School Board reorganized after approving the election results during its meeting on Monday, April 16.
According to a news release, Matt Hudson and John Stroupe were sworn in as new members. Among the four candidates for two open seats, Hudson received 497 votes and Stroupe 330. Joey Busker had 292 votes and Jean Schmidt 238.
Gary Gose was elected as board president; Eric McSwain as vice president; Jackie Besgrove reappointment as treasurer and Trish Elliott as secretary.
Superintendent Dr. Tamara Kimball pointed out during her report that the no-tax-increase bond issue was approved by voters 569 to 165– or a 78-percent approval rate.
The board also approved the 2018-19 course list for Clark Middle School as presented by Kimball.
