A Hughesville woman who allegedly illegally placed money from checks from a residential-care facility onto gift cards has been charged with felonies in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, Stephanie L. Johnson loaded money from multiple checks from The Arbors at Westport Estates in Marshall onto gift cards at Walmart.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued and Johnson has been charged with six counts of a Class D Felony for Forgery and a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety, with one of the conditions being she is to have no contact with The Arbors.
Johnson’s initial hearing at Saline County Circuit Court is pending.
