A Kentucky man has been charged with drug-related felonies after a traffic stop last week in Lafayette County.
According to a probable-cause statement, on April 19, Lafayette County deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle allegedly traveling in the left lane too long without merging to the right lane near the 44 mile marker of I-70. Deputies executed a search of the vehicle after detecting the strong odor of raw marijuana. Deputies allegedly found 560 grams of raw marijuana, a loaded handgun, and various THC infused edibles and electronic cigarettes.
Online court documents say the driver, 53-year-old Jeffrey Pressman, of Burlington, KY, has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Possess a Weapon and Felony Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety.
Pressman’s initial hearing at Lafayette County Circuit Court is pending.
