Area public safety agencies are teaming up to host a drug take-back event in Cooper County on Saturday, April 28.
According to a news release, the Boonville Police and Fire Departments are scheduled to host a free event where residents can dispose of unwanted prescription medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire department building at 500 Bingham Road. This event is apart of the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day which aims to help eliminate drug abuse by properly ridding homes of unwanted medications.
If residents are unable to attend the event, unwanted medications can be dropped off anytime at the Boonville Police Department at 401 East Morgan Street.
