After new Sweet Springs Mayor Franny Vaught withdrew his previously-accepted bid for the contract for the mowing of the city’s park due to possibly being viewed as a conflict of interest, the city had to put out the services for bid again.
During a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen on Tuesday, April 24, it settled on one of five bids received.
According to a release from the city, the bids ranged from a total of $6,000 to $10,800 for the six-month agreement.
The board voted to approve entering into a contract with Maggert Lawn Care for $6,000, with payments of $1,000 to be made monthly.
The contract runs from May through October 2018.
