A Jefferson City man was killed in a rollover traffic crash in Cooper County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 95-year-old Willard Meyer, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a large rock and several trees and overturned.
Meyer was pronounced deceased at the scene at 3:10 p.m. by Cooper County Coroner James Hurt.
The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Route O, two-tenths of a mile south of Swan Road.
