An initial investigation report from the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office has determined a fire in Marshall was intentionally set on April 21, 2018.
According to the report, about 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 1300 block of South Salt Pond Avenue. The fire reportedly was under control at about 3 p.m.
The initial investigation report says no operating smoke alarms were located inside the residence and the fire was intentionally set.
The situation currently remains under investigation, and no other details were disclosed.
