After an action item was tabled at the regular-session meeting on April 17, the Marshall School Board acted to approve raises for certain staff members during a special-session meeting on Tuesday, May 1.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz said there was a meeting held with the classified staff committee, which included discussions about a number of items, including the classified staff handbook.
Lorenz said Data Analysis Specialist Jim Papreck made a presentation during the meeting.
Lorenz said the committees will continue to meet.
In the end, the board approved the raise that was proposed at the last meeting, which includes 1.54 percent to the base salary. With the step increases and benefits, the overall raises range from 4.08 to 5.99 percent, depending on the position and employee.
