The new members of the Slater Police Department were introduced during the city council meeting on Tuesday, May 1.
Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri said the Slater Police Department has a whole new crew due to the retirement of the previous chief and personal obligations of the assistant chief.
Allegri thinks the new police department will serve the community well.
Police Chief Troy Goff said with help from Assistant Chief Shawn Coleman, the new department is gathering ideas to help make the community safer.
The rest of the Slater Police Department includes Patrolmen Patrick Todd and Cody Copeland, as well as Animal Control Officer Joseph Cordray.
