The Slater City Council discussed a couple of upcoming events, including the citywide garage sale scheduled this weekend, during its meeting on Tuesday, May 1.
City Administrator Gene Griffith said the garage sale should bring a lot of people to town due to the weather forecast this weekend.

In other business, Griffith gives an update on what is completed and scheduled for next month’s Steve McQueen Day.

Again, Steve McQueen Day is scheduled on Saturday, June 16.
