Three men have been charged with multiple felonies for allegedly holding two females against their will, raping and assaulting them. The men were apprehended by authorities on April 26.
According to a probable-cause statement, members of multiple law-enforcement agencies arrived at the scene of the reported kidnapping at the Super 8 Motel in Higginsville. Information from the family of one of the female victims was received that the female was being held against her will until the family paid a ransom for her return.
Once authorities took control of the situation, the females told investigators that they had been raped and physically assaulted. The females were examined by medical professionals who reported the females had suffered bruising to several areas of their bodies.
According to online court documents, Alain Gaspar Camarillo-Linan has been charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Kidnapping; two counts of a Class C Felony for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree; two counts of a Class E Felony for Assault in the Third Degree; two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Rape or Attempted Rape in the First Degree– Aggravated Sexual Offense; two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree– Aggravated Sexual Offense; and one count of an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree. Jaciel Acdala Mendez-Morales and Luis Angel Sierra-Vallina each has been charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Kidnapping; two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Rape or Attempted Rape in the First Degree– Aggravated Sexual Offense; and two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree– Aggravated Sexual Offense. Bond for Mendez-Morales and Sierra-Vallina has been set at $500,000 cash only and Camarillo-Linan at $150,000 each cash only, with several special conditions.
Each defendant was arraigned on April 30 and entered a plea of not guilty. Each man’s cause has been continued for another hearing at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
