A resident of the state of Texas suffered injuries in a two-vehicle head-on traffic crash in Lafayette County on Wednesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Jeraline Smith, of Texarkana, was traveling northbound in the southbound lane and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 56-year-old Pamela Gross, of Kingsville.
While Gross reportedly was not inured, Smith was transported by Sni-Valley E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at about 11 p.m. on Route Z at Cumberland Road.
