Saline County Commissioners held a special open meeting regarding the half-cent sales-tax measure that was approved by voters in April for countywide economic development during its meeting on Thursday, May 3.

The floor was opened for any comments. However, nobody from the general public was in attendance, so the commissioners approved the results.
The collection of the half-cent sales tax will begin on October 1, 2018, and sunset on December 31, 2038.
