A Holden man was injured in a rollover tractor trailer accident in Johnson County on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a northbound International, 28-year-old Matthew Marcus, of Warrensburg, reportedly attempted to avoid a collision with a uninvolved southbound vehicle traveling in the northbound lane. The tractor trailer then traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.
A passenger in the vehicle, 40-year-old Shane Cantrell, was transported by Johnson County E.M.S to an area hospital for treatment of minor injures. Marcus reportedly was not injured.
The accident happened just after 8 a.m. on Missouri Highway 23, just north of County Road Northeast 900.
