A Sedalia man who was arrested and charged with sex-related felonies involving a juvenile in Pettis County in July 2017 has been sentenced to spend some time in the state penitentiary.
According to a probable-cause statement, on July 20, 2017, a juvenile female told authorities that Quintin Long had committed sexual acts on her.
According to online court documents, Long was charged with a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree and a Class E Felony for Child Molestation in the Fourth Degree. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing on November 20, but changed his plea to guilty to both charges during a hearing on March 19, 2018.
Per a plea agreement, on Monday, May 7, the judge sentenced Long to spend five years in the Department of Corrections on the first charge and four years on the latter charge. The sentences were ordered to run concurrently.
