A 47-year-old Sedalia woman who was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by authorities on May 8 and allegedly was in possession of several drug-related items has been charged with a two counts of a felony.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities located a glass pipe that contained a white powdery residue that tested positive for methamphetamine; three used syringes and one syringe which was loaded with an unknown off-white substance inside a duffel bag. The accused later reportedly told authorities the substance would test positive for morphine.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Kimberly M. Hopkins has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety, with special unspecified conditions.
An initial hearing for Hopkins at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
