A Higbee resident was killed and two other Higbee residents suffered injuries in a rollover traffic crash in Howard County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 22-year-old Skyler Head reportedly overcorrected his eastbound vehicle, which had traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
A passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Ronnetta Head, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 5:58 p.m. by Howard County Coroner Frank Flaspohler. The driver sustained minor injuries and another passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old Isaiha Gibson, suffered moderate injuries. The injured persons reportedly were transported by private vehicle and ambulance, respectively, to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Route O, west of Route BB.
