An Independence man who has been accused of murder in an area county has a jury trial set for later this year. Prior to that, there is a court proceeding set for this week.
According to online court documents, Ryan Beamgard was arrested on May 6, 2016, and is facing multiple felony charges, including a Class A Felony for Murder in the Second Degree; Class B Felonies for Assault in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree; a Class C Felony for Stealing a Motor Vehicle; and two Unclassified Felonies for Armed Criminal Action.
Beamgard entered a plea of not guilty at his arraignment hearing on May 6, 2016.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 21, and a three-day trial is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
