Two persons sustained injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Ray County on Saturday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Austin Colston, of Excelsior Springs, reportedly was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane, and a westbound vehicle, driven by 39-year-old Jonathan Brooks, of Richmond, was unable to avoid a collision and struck the Colston vehicle.
Colston, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries; and Brooks sustained moderate injuries. They were transported to Truman Medical Center and North Kansas City Hospital, respectively, for treatment.
The crash happened just after 11 p.m. on Missouri Highway 210, just east of Route T.
