A special ceremony dedicating an outdoor warning siren in a Saline County community is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 23.
At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, May 22, commissioners announced the ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. in Nelson. Commissioners said representatives from the USDA, which provided some of the funds for the siren through a grant, and other dignitaries are scheduled to be on hand.
The ceremony, which includes a testing of the siren, is weather permitting.
