Extra-duty stipend additions and increases were proposed during the meeting of the Marshall School Board on Tuesday, May 22.
During her report, Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher presented the proposal on a slide. On the slide, she proposed the addition of a “Keep-It-Kind” sponsor at $700, an Esprit Club sponsor at $700 and a “Bird Cage” sponsor at $1,225, as well as increases for sponsors for FBLA and FCCLA– each from $875 to $1,400– and A-Plus sponsor from $1,400 to $2,209.
The board approved all of them, except the decision on the increase for the A-Plus sponsor, which was tabled until a later date.
In other business, Director of Special Services Terri Porter explained what a contract to pay Research to Practice, Inc., at $65 per hour involves.

The board approved the continuation of the pay rate and gave the OK to a pay raise from $10 to $15 per hour for music accompanists.
