A famous outlaw and a confederate commander are scheduled to be talked about on June 2 in Arrow Rock.
According to a news release, journalist and author Aaron Barnhart is scheduled to present “Jesse James, Jo Shelby, and the War after the War” for the Friends of Arrow Rock’s First Saturday lecture at 10 a.m. at the Arrow Rock State Historic Site Visitor Center auditorium.
Barnhart is the former television and media critic for the Kansas City Star. He is the co-author of “The Big Divide: A Travel Guide to Historic and Civil War Sites in the Missouri-Kansas Border Region.”
This one-hour presentation is free and open to the public, and complimentary refreshments will be available.
