An Antioch, Tennessee, resident has been charged with a felony for allegedly being in possession of nearly 50 pounds of marijuana after a traffic stop on I-70 on January 23, 2017, in Cooper County.
According to a probable-cause statement, because the driver admitted to authorities he was hauling 40 pounds of marijuana, the trooper conducted a probable-cause search and uncovered a cache of marijuana that weighed approximately 47 pounds in the trunk.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and 46-year Damion T. Breathett has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid and a driving-related misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Breathett’s initial appearance at Cooper County Circuit Court is pending.
