At a recent meeting of the Marshall City Council, the council gave its blessing– and suspended the enforcement of a city ordinance– for an event to be held around the Marshall Square later this year.
Saline County Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. read a request from Marshall Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jeanette Klinge regarding the same event during the commission meeting on Thursday, May 24.

After Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner made it clear no alcohol sales will be permitted on county property, the commissioners gave their approval to the request.
