Two area residents sustained injuries in a two-vehicle head-on traffic crash in Pettis County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Trenton Rob, of Sweet Springs, reportedly crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a northbound vehicle, driven by 61-year-old Gerald Moore, of Sedalia.
Rob, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by E.M.S. to Research Hospital in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries. Moore was transported by E.M.S. to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened just before 6:45 a.m. on Route T and Prairie Chapel Road.
