Nearly 100 bricks honoring veterans recently were placed on an area courthouse’s property.
According to a release from former Saline County Northern District Commissioner Charlie Guthrie, 93 bricks have been added to the “Veterans’ Memory Walk Of Honor” on the west side of the Saline County Courthouse in Marshall.
Guthrie points out that brick orders still are being taken. He says the next time bricks will be laid will be before Veterans’ Day in November.
Guthrie says the veteran does not have to be from Saline County.
Bricks honoring veterans cost $50 each, and applications are available at the Saline County Assessor’s, Collector’s and Treasurer’s offices in the courthouse, at Dale Zank’s State Farm Insurance office or from Ed Reis (RICE) at Wood & Huston Bank in Marshall.
