A Smithton man who has been charged with a felony for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile earlier this year is due in court this week.
A probable-cause statement says on February 7, a female told authorities about an unwanted sexual encounter in a vehicle with 41-year-old Hollis Dean Smith on January 13.
Online court documents say Smith has been charged with a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. Smith posted surety bond on April 25.
Smith appeared in court and was arraigned on May 1. A counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
