A Bates City man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash in Johnson County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a northbound Harley Davidson, driven by 50-year-old Bruce Evenson, reportedly failed to negotiate a left curve, began to skid, traveled off the right side of the roadway, skidded and slid, returned to the roadway, traveled off the right side of the roadway again, crossed a private drive, overturned and ejected the driver.
Evenson reportedly was transported by Johnson County ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at about 2:40 p.m. on Route Z, north of Northwest 900 Road.
