A Grain Valley resident sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Cody Beasley, of Alma, slowed for traffic and reportedly was struck in the rear by another westbound vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Alyssa Curatola.
While Beasley reportedly was not injured, Curatola, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Odessa E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. at the 37.4 mile marker on I-70.
