An Independence man accused of a murder in Lafayette County in 2016, changed his plea during a recent court date and is scheduled to be sentenced later this year.
According to online court documents, Ryan Beamgard was arrested on May 6, 2016, and is facing multiple felony charges, including a Class A Felony for Murder in the Second Degree; Class B Felonies for Assault in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree; a Class C Felony for Stealing a Motor Vehicle; and two Unclassified Felonies for Armed Criminal Action.
