A Boonville man faces a felony charge for entering a store which he was banned from earlier this year in Saline County.
A probable-cause statement says on February 21, 27-year-old Jared Babbitt was seen on video surveillance driving to and entering Walmart in Marshall at 855 South Cherokee Drive. Babbitt removed an outdoor trail camera from is packaging, placed it in the front of his pants and left the store without paying. Babbit was banned from entering any Walmart after an incident at the Boonville location on March 22, 2017.
Online court documents say Babbitt has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree, as well as misdemeanors for stealing and driving while revoked or suspended. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Babbitt appeared in custody, via video for his initial arraignment on the 22nd of May. His next appearance in court is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6th at 9 a.m. at Saline County Circuit Court.
