The Cooper County Fire Protection District has announce it recently was awarded with a grant which will help purchase special rescue equipment.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, the MFA Oil Foundation presented the Cooper County Fire Protection district with a $2,000 grant to help purchase grain bin engulfment rescue equipment also known as the “Great Wall of Rescue System”.
This special equipment will be the first of its kind in the county and will enhance farmer safety in the surrounding communities.
Since 1998, the MFA Oil Foundation has awarded more than one million dollars in grants which provide support to nonprofit organizations that are working to improve communities.
