During a busy Higginsville Board of Aldermen meeting this week, aldermen OK’d several bills.
According to City Administrator Jeanette Dobson, three of them regarded providing wholesale water service for some area communities.
Dobson said another bill involved the Lafayette County C-1 School District.
In other news, Dobson said bills for bids received from contractors to take care of the city’s annual street improvement program were approved, as well as a land lease agreement with Cellco Partnership, d/b/a Verizon Wireless, to erect a cellular tower near the solar farm.
Dobson also said aldermen gave their approval of the request made by the Higginsville Chamber of Commerce to close 31st Street, between Cypress Street and Highway 13, for the Independence Day festivities on July 4.
