A Salisbury man is facing a couple of felony charges for an alleged incident of sexual abuse earlier this month in Chariton County.
A probable-cause statement says just before 7 a.m. on June 2, a female victim was awoken by 22-year-old Kyle Hinkle, who reportedly was fully exposed and touching her inappropriately. The victim said Hinkle also held her down during the incident, but eventually left the after repeated commands to stop and leave.
On June 5, Salisbury Police officers interviewed Hinkle who reportedly admitted to entering the residence without permission while going to the victim’s room without any clothes on, but denied touching the victim.
Online court documents say Hinkle has been charged with a Class C Felony for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash only.
Hinkle’s initial hearing at Chariton County Circuit Court is pending.
