Saline County Treasurer Marty Smith was at the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, June 7, and gave the sales-tax report for June.

Smith also gave the update on proceeds received from two other taxes.

In other news, commissioners approved the sheriff’s department to hire Tyler Hunt for the Jail Division. He is scheduled to start work on Monday, June 11.
