The Missouri Department of Transportation is scheduled to shift I-70 traffic near Marshall on Thursday, June 14.
According to MoDOT, the westbound traffic on I-70 will be shifted into a split configuration utilizing a lane of both eastbound and westbound bridges, and the eastbound traffic will stay in current pattern. This is the first phase of a multi-phase bridge rehab project that will last through November.
Motorists are reminded of the loop ramps from southbound Highway 65 to eastbound I-70 and northbound Highway 65 to westbound I-70 are currently closed. Traffic is being detoured to Routes YY and J. The exit ramps from I-70 to Highway 65 will remain open.
Speeds through the work zone will be reduced to 60 miles per hour, however crews will maintain two lanes in each direction on I-70 for the duration of this project.
